A buyer may receive two nearly identical quotations. Both show a gold laser cabinet, and both display the letters FDA. One quotation also gives CM11LP and K253828. That extra line changes the conversation because it leads outside the brochure. In the FDA database, the number connects to Beijing HuaCheng Taike Technology Co., Ltd. and a Medical Alexandrite and Nd:YAG Laser Therapy System.
For a buyer, that is the real advantage behind the FDA claim. It turns an alexandrite laser machine from a picture into a device with a record. US searches for equipment, prices, dual wavelengths, and machines for sale suggest that many readers are already comparing offers. Altolumen’s Alexandrite laser configurations give them several choices. The job is to find out which choice sits behind the quotation.
Open K253828 Before You Judge an Alexandrite Laser Machine
The FDA page is plain, and that helps. There is no product photography to influence the reader. Look at four lines on the result: CM11LP, the formal device name, February 27, 2026, and the applicant. The page also shows Class II, GEX, and 21 CFR 878.4810. None of this looks dramatic. Together, however, these fields give purchasing and compliance teams something concrete to match to the quote.
Begin with the model printed on the quote. If it is not CM11LP, the seller should explain why K253828 appears in the offer. Then turn to the treatment language. If the brochure wanders beyond the cleared indications, asking for one more test report is not enough. Ask how the manufacturer evaluated the regulatory effect of that change. Depending on what changed, the assessment can point to another 510(k).
This is where a K number is better than an FDA logo. The logo has no model, applicant, date, or indication attached to it. K253828 does. The number can still be misused, of course, but the mismatch becomes visible as soon as the buyer compares the offer with the database.
Altolumen also describes itself as China’s only FDA-cleared manufacturer in this category. Treat that as Altolumen’s market statement. The public record answers a smaller question. It names Beijing HuaCheng Taike as the CM11LP applicant, but says nothing about every other factory in China. A US sales deck can lead with K253828 and label the exclusivity wording as the company’s own claim.
Wavelength measurements and energy tests belong in a different file. Altolumen’s laser equipment R&D team can address that evidence. Keeping it separate prevents a common sales mistake: using the clearance record as if it were also a factory test certificate.
Follow the Alexandrite Nd:YAG Laser from Quote to Crate
The project’s knowledge base separates a 755 nm machine, a 1064 nm machine, and a version that combines them. A warehouse photo may not reveal the difference. Neither will the word “Alexandrite” by itself. Before accepting an alexandrite laser machine order, check whether the paperwork also names Nd:YAG.
CM11LP, as cleared, pairs 755 nm Alexandrite with 1064 nm Nd:YAG. Altolumen describes the same combination in its CM11LP dual-wavelength system. Put both wavelengths beside the model and serial number. Once that description appears on the order, it should survive the sample approval, inspection, manual, and training stages.

OEM work is rarely limited to a new logo. The same request can include a different handpiece, software language, spot size, or operating range. A color change and a performance change should not be filed under one vague heading. Compare each request with the cleared configuration and record the result before anyone approves production.
For CM11LP it gives 0.7-20 ms and 0.5-2 Hz, with maximum energy of 50 J at 755 nm and 80 J at 1064 nm. It names six spot sizes from 6 to 18 mm and closed-loop water cooling. A US quotation should not borrow those numbers until the supplier explains, in writing, how the option relates to the cleared device.
Keep that comparison with the serial number. Otherwise the photograph, quotation, and shipped unit can quietly become three different versions. The first warning may be one missing wavelength in the manual. By then the same mismatch may already be present in training and advertising.
Keep 755nm Alexandrite Laser Claims Tied to the Record
Brochure review begins with one word. Replace “approved” with “cleared” when the text refers to CM11LP. Then read the indications as two columns rather than one long sentence. The 755 nm side covers hair reduction and specified pigmented, wrinkle, and benign vascular indications. The 1064 nm entry is different. A small subheading in the brochure is often all it takes to stop readers from blending the two.

Some attractive promises do not come from K253828 at all. “No pain,” a fixed session count, and suitability for every patient need support beyond the clearance and must agree with the labeling. Mark those lines separately during review; an FDA paragraph is not evidence for them.
The same separation helps after the sale. FDA duties follow each company’s legal role, so a commercial agreement cannot simply hand them to somebody else. What the agreement can do is show the working route. It can identify the source of the current label, the training contact, the path for complaints, and the person who keeps service records available to the responsible party.
Altolumen describes its training and after-sales support. The practical questions are less polished: Who picks up the case? Which time zone does that person work in? How many years does support run? Lay the quote, label, manual, and inspection report on the same desk before shipment. If the hardware, software, importer arrangement, or response terms do not line up, связаться с Альтолуменом while the order can still be corrected.
FAQs
Q: If another cabinet looks like CM11LP, is it covered by K253828?
A: No. Start with the model on the quote, then compare intended use, configuration, and technological characteristics with the device in the cleared submission.
Q: Does a custom OEM request automatically trigger a new 510(k)?
A: No automatic answer applies. The manufacturer should document its regulatory assessment, and a significant change to intended use or technological characteristics may lead to a new 510(k). Performance data alone does not settle that question.
Q: What can a buyer confirm about Altolumen’s FDA message?
A: Open the K253828 result and match CM11LP with the named applicant, Beijing HuaCheng Taike Technology Co., Ltd. Broader exclusivity wording remains Altolumen’s own market claim and should be presented that way.
